So I really struggled with this one because I could not really identify what it was that was my greatest strength. I asked one of my closest friends what she thought and without hesitation, she replied, “You’re brave. You step outside the box, you have hard conversations, you try new things, you break down invisible walls, you do things that are scary if you know they are right whether it be professional or personal.”
Naturally, I rolled my eyes at her, I am seriously afraid of so so many things, but then I started doing a little research. What I found surprised me. First of all, she was right (she usually is). Being brave really has nothing to do with how afraid I am at any given moment. Being brave means pressing on and defeating that fear. It means doing the things that do not come naturally. This last year I have grown leaps and bounds because I have learned to be brave. So if there is something you are afraid of, if something is holding you back… listen to me… BE BRAVE!!! Do not let life pass you by. You will regret it.
Speaking of bravery, today is the release day of my second book!!! I am so excited. I took so many chances and got out of my comfort zone with this one. I even reached out to some amazing authors for help.

I follow an amazing family on YouTube that has a great philosophy it’s Do What You Think You Can’t Do. You Allycat have been doing that for the better part of a year you are so brave and good so now I’m off to buy your next book. 🙂

Congrats on your book release! What an exciting time.
I agree, you have to be brave in this business. We spend so much time on our projects then have to set them loose in the world to be judged more or less by those that read them. It’s a scary thought, but also rewarding to have that sense of accomplishment.

After visiting several MFRW authors, I find myself nodding at all of them. Courage — yep, you’re absolutely right. It’s crucial.
Congratulations on the release of A Rose in Bloom. I hope you aren’t afraid about how it’ll be received, because you’ve done your best and now it’s out of your hands. I’ve had a recent book sell less than 100 copies, and one book years ago that sold over 100,000. I was the same writer … probably better on the dud than the bestseller. The market is weird.

Congratulations on the release of the book. Very exciting. I agree. Bravery is being afraid and doing it anyway. That’s what I tell my daughter. Focus on the and not the but. I am afraid and I’m doing it. Thanks for sharing.

Big congrats on the new book! Yes, stepping out of our comfort zone is a HUGE test of courage:)
When my 1st book was being published, I thought all I had to do was sit back and let the publisher do all the work. But when my ‘baby’ arrived, I suddenly had to initiate conversations with complete strangers….and surprise surprise,….they LIKED what I’d written:)
